Intro

Pleasure to meet ya!

I am a brand spankin' new UX designer with more than half a decade worth of sales experience under my belt. Below you'll find my spiel about how I got introduced into UX design, but you can skip to my awesome portfolio here!

My journey into the UX/UI design industry began in 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many, I lost my sales job due to massive company lay offs as a result of the virus & had to figure out what was next. No one, much less I, had any idea when we would return to work and had to begin a job search that was rooted in uncertainty. It took some serious thought and consideration but I was convinced learning a new skill during this time was well worth it.

Here we are, about a year later, & I am finally putting together the finishing touches of my first website portfolio. Feel free to let me me know what you think about my work right on my contact page!

CoinTrol

CoinTrol is a responsive mobile web application that is intended to be used as a peer-to-peer transaction network existing within your network. The goal in the future is to take this design & repurpose is to include a few gamification features to make finance more attractive to a younger audience.

This project was part of my UX Immersion Course at CareerFoundry that I began in 2020 & is actually my first full case study ever -- so be nice!

TeamWord

Although the aforementioned CoinTrol was my first full case study, there was a trial run; that first go-at-it for me is TeamWord. This was my first go at UX design ever but the project you are going to see is my attempt at a personal independent redesign.

This project was part of my UI Specialization that I completed in tandem with the UX Immersion!

About

I was born & raised in a small little town on Long Island. Other than the typcal Long Islands things to do, i.e. spending Summers at the beach and Winter's hibernating, I like to DJ & play tons of video games. That love of DJing came from years of MCing weddings and other events but also from spinning at a few small clubs in my college town. I went to SUNY Cortand, joined a frat three weeks after transferring & somehow graduated with a BA in Communications with a double minor is Business Management & Theatre Arts.

If you read my intro page, you'd know a while back I lost my job due to COVID. After a few sketchy gigs and potentially dodging a ponzi scheme I have landed myself at a company selling a product that helps homeowners make their homes more energy efficient. I absolutely love what I do and plan to use this as a resource to grow my sales acument, but also as an investment vehicle to grow other ventures on the side. My dream is to one day own a property rental business and with these new design skills I'd hope to be able to build my own brand entirely own my own.

Eventually, I hope to go back to school to get my Masters, most likely in something like Business Management or Entrepreneurship.
